Neem oil comes from a tree in the Meliaceae family, native to India and Burma. It only lives in tropical and subtropical regions.

Well known in Ayurveda, neem oil is used among other uses for:

Dermatology: it is effective against acne, rash, dandruff, psoriasis.

Fungi: Neem is toxic to fungi that attack humans such as Candida, the one that causes athlete's foot and mouth.

Malaria: the leaves have an active ingredient which is toxic to malaria.

External parasites: Neem kills external parasites very quickly.

Insect repellent: there are studies that show that a component of neem is more effective than chemicals.

In cosmetics, it works very well for oily and blemished skin, as it works by killing the bacteria that cause acne, while calming and reducing redness or inflammation of the skin. It does not irritate the skin and does not produce side effects such as dry skin.
